The World Games 2022 reveals Gold, Silver & bronze medals

This time the World Games 2022 will be hosted in the city of Birmingham, from July 7th to 17th 2022. The event is popular as a global sports competition, where elite athletes from all over the world chase for 34 gold medals in multi-disciplinary sports.

The 2022 event will mark the 40th anniversary, where it is estimated to generate around $256 million. This time over 50,000 global spectators is expected to attend the competition to enjoy the incredible display of competition and sportsmanship in different sports genre flag football, gymnastics, softball, sumo wrestling, parkour, sport climbing, and many more.

The Medals for Birmingham 2022 World Games are unveiled (gold, silver, and bronze) during a celebratory event at the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. The glorious event featured three medal-winning Olympic and Paralympic athletes along with a hype video that cheered the crowd.

These three athletes received the medals from Ron Froehlich, the honorary life president of the International World Games Association. Chief Executive of the World Games 2022 Nick Sellers said, “Just as athletes from around the world will soon step up to seize their moment of glory, this is Birmingham’s moment to step up on the global stage”.

Jennifer Chandler, the gold medallist in the women’s three meters springboard diving at the 1976 Montreal Olympics was the first honorary of the medals.

The second medal recipient was Mark Everett, who claimed a gold medal in three consecutive Olympic Games at track and field event, while the United States, Bryan Kirkland who won a gold medal in wheelchair rugby at the Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008 Paralympics was honored the third medal recipient.

The World Games 2022 will comprise 600 medals, with more than 3600 athletes to take part in over 30 sports programs.
